    PATRON XO COFFEE KULFI

     

    A dessert popular since the Mughal era, kulfi brings a smile to any summer-worn face. A dash of the famed tequila concoction brings in a fine flavour to this favourite confection. 

    Preparation time: 80 minutes (Serves 4)

    Ingredients:

           1 ltr milk

           4 tbsp coffee extract

           1 tin condensed milk

           4 tbsp pistachios (blanched and chopped)

           ¼ tsp cinnamon powder

           30 ml patron coffee liquor or 1 tbsp instant coffee

    Salt as required

    Preparation:

           Reduce some milk in a kadhai for 15 minutes

           Dip the condensed milk tin in boiling water for 45 minutes

           Allow it to rest and cool

           Add the caramalised condensed milk to the reduced milk

           Add the cinnamon powder, salt, coffee extract and give a boil

           Stir in the nuts

           Allow the mixture to come to room temperature

           Fill into the kulfi moulds and freeze
