Particle board is made by compressing wood chips with glue. In flat-pressed particleboard, the chips are mainly parallel to the surface. The chips in the surface layer are thinner than those in the middle layer, so the surface of the particle board is denser. It is resistance to termite and wood borer. All panels which are exposed to air, is edged with PVC banding on 4 sides to avoid contact to water, moisture, and insects. This helps to improve durability. PB used is certified European Emission standard E2 grade, thereby its certified safe for indoor furniture application. Weight-bearing of static/adjustable shelves: 10-15Kgs. Bottom storage can be used as to keep set-top box.
